Suicide Squad game needs an always online internet connection

Single-player or co-op, it doesn't matter.

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League will require players to have an always online internet connection, even if wanting to play in single-player mode.

“Yes, an internet connection is required to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League solo or via online co-op,” reads an answer on the title’s FAQ page.

The same FAQ calls the latest from Rocksteady “a new genre-defying third-person action-adventure shooter videogame,” though after a showing late last week — one that we said had a crazy emphasis on live service elementsa lot of folks on the internet are calling it far worse.

“I was so disappointed to see all of them basically have guns and fly around… like where is their power identity?” asked JunkerQueen_1347, who added, “Captain Boomerang is literally about throwing boomerangs and he uses a fucking AK-47 instead of his boomerang… like who the fuck thought thats a good idea?”

“So many games are ‘videogame: the videogame’ as of late,” added 0ussel. “Looter shooters with generic characters, enemies, and gameplay, with some assortment of live service gimmicks. Gaming would be so bleak for me personally if the indie scene wasn’t around.”
