Street Fighter V’s story mode, explained

Capcom recently detailed Street Fighter V‘s new story mode.

“Players will have the opportunity to play through individual character stories that provide important background information on each of the characters, their roles in the game, and their relationships with other fighters,” Capcom said. “The character stories have a recognizable throwback art style created by Bengus, a famous Japanese illustrator who has worked on a variety of past Street Fighter projects.”

Completing character stories will earn Fight Money, which in turn can be used to purchase new characters “and possibly more depending on skill level,” Capcom confirmed.

Street Fighter V‘s in-game store, in which Fight Money or real world money can be used, opens in March.

Street Fighter V will be available from 16 February on Windows PC and PS4.
