Street Fighter V: Capcom has started punishing rage quitters

Capcom has taken to its blog to confirm that it has begun to punish players who are rage quitting inside Street Fighter V.

The publisher says it is IDing players with very high disconnects and win rates and has begun sanctioning a select few. Capcom says approximately 30 players have had League Points removed thus far.

“Since last week, we’ve received a ton of videos… which we’ve been able to cross reference with our data and put together a clear picture as to which players are abusing the system,” a Capcom rep wrote.

“To be clear, we are only targeting the worst offenders in our system,” the rep continued. “So if you have had a few instances of being disconnected during a match, you have nothing to worry about.”

Capcom said this is a short-term approach; the company is investigating a permanent solution.
