Steam Game Festival will run when E3 2020 was supposed to

The Steam Game Festival will return in June, timed for the window that would normally be taken by E3 2020.

“I’m excited to share that the The Game Festival will return this summer on Steam from June 9 – 14 2020, allowing you to play more upcoming games from the comfort of your home,” organiser Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter.

The first Steam Game Festival took place in 2019, timed with The Game Awards.

E3 2020 was cancelled in mid-March 2020 because of concerns relating to the COVID-19 coronavirus. A Steam Game Festival was also held in that same month, highlighting 40 games that would have been showcased during GDC 2020, which was also cancelled over the coronavirus crisis.
