Steam bundles: Valve will stop charging you for games you already own

Valve is enabling a new bundle pricing structure that won’t charge consumers for games they already own, according to PCGamesN.

In the new system, users “will pay for and receive only the items not already in their account.” In short, bundles will be cheaper if players already own games inside of it, as they won’t be charged a second time for those titles.

“With Steam Bundles, if a customer already [owns] some items in the Bundle, they will pay for and receive only the items not already in their account,” Valve said. “This allows the best fans of your series or franchise to ‘complete the set’ and get a deal on the remaining items in the Bundle.”

Publishers must opt in to this new pricing structure, so it’s unclear how widespread savings will be.
