Star Wars: Battlefront 2 beta heads to PC, consoles in October

A multiplayer beta for Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will take place in October on PC and consoles, EA today confirmed.

Those who’ve pre-ordered the title will gain access to the beta on 4 October, joined by everyone else on 6 October. The beta runs until 9 October.

As part of the beta, players will take part in 40-player battles on Naboo’s Theed, playing as the Separatist droid army or Republic clone troopers. Four classes — assault, heavy, office and specialist — will be available.

Also on offer is another mode called Starfighter Assault, a vehicle-based battle.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on 17 November.
