Star Trek Prodigy Australia debut set for 29 October on Paramount+

We get to enjoy the adventures of the Protostar at the same time as in the USA.

Star Trek Prodigy will debut on Paramount+ on 29 October here in Australia, the same date as the show will air in the USA.

Originally planned for release on Nickelodeon (and still carrying that channel in its title card), Prodigy is the third Star Trek animated series overall and the franchise’s first CG-animated entry.

As we’ve previously reported, Prodigy will centre around a group of Delta Quadrant alien adolescents who find an experimental Starfleet ship, the USS Protostar. The children will need to learn how to work with one another as they endeavour to improve their lot in life.

Star Trek Voyager‘s Kate Mulgrew will (sort of) reprise her role as (a holographic version of) Captain Kathryn Janeway, serving as a mentor. Prodigy also features Angus Imrie as Zero, Jason Mantzoukas as Jankom Pog, Ella Purnell as Gwyn, Brett Gray as Dal, Dee Bradley Baker as Murf and Rylee Alazraqui as Rok-Tahk.

Expect Star Trek Prodigy from 29 October on Paramount+.
