Star Trek Online Play for a Cause supports 2 charities

The Star Trek Online Play for a Cause campaign will support two charities including one run by Star Trek Deep Space Nine‘s Leeta, Chase Masterson.

From today, Captains can visit the Play for a Cause website and donate funds that will be fully funnelled into two charities: the Pop Culture Hero Coalition, an anti-bully organization led by Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Online’s Chase Masterson, alongside United Way, a global non-profit focused on “providing every person with education, health and financial stability”.

Those who donate $10 USD or more will receive the following items:

  • Tier 1 (with a donation of $2.00 USD or more)
    • Heroic Risian Caracal Pet
    • Heroic Tribble
    • Title: Heroic
  • Tier 2 (with a donation of $10.00 USD or more)
    • Somerville Intel Science Vessel T6
    • Batlh Intel Science Vessel T6
    • 1 Fleet Module

Those who donate enough for Tier 2 rewards will also receive Tier 1 rewards.

Star Trek Online is currently available on Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4.
