Star Trek Online level cap increased to 65 with Victory is Life

Star Trek Online‘s newest expansion, Victory is Life, will increase the in-game level cap to 65, developer Cryptic today confirmed.

“Upon the release of our next expansion, Victory is Life, all characters will find themselves capable of earning levels beyond the current cap of 60,” Jeremy ‘BorticusCryptic’ Randall wrote in a new update. “Starting immediately, any and all Experience earned will start players on the path toward the new maximum level cap of 65.”

This is the game’s first level cap raise in four years.

No new ranks will be added to the game in conjunction with the new level cap, and no new ship tiers will be introduced either. That said, Admirals will be able to claim “a free Tier 5 Starship from any Starship Acquisition vendor, then apply a token to upgrade it to Tier 5-U” when they hit level 61.

Star Trek: Online is available on Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One and PS4. Victory is Life heads to PC in June, and later on consoles.
