Star Trek: Online: LeVar Burton joins the MMO as Captain Geordi La Forge

Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s LeVar Burton will reprise his role of Geordi La Forge inside Star Trek: Online, Perfect World today confirmed.

Captain La Forge will feature in two episodes — the first, available 12 September, will celebrate The Next Generation‘s 30th anniversary. The second will kick off the game’s 14th season, “Emergence”, later in October.

The Star Trek: The Next Generation-themed featured episode is titled, “Beyond the Nexus.”

“Players will join La Forge and his crew as they investigate a distress call from a Galaxy-class ship whose crew is being mind-controlled by a mysterious energy source,” Perfect World said of the episode. “The episode marks the release of a fully realized Galaxy-class interior available for purchase and includes server-wide giveaways to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

Most importantly — the skant uniform from TNG‘s first season will also be available to wear by players. Not sure what a skant is? Look below.

Skirt-pant. You’re welcome.

Star Trek: Online is available on Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One and PS4. As per usual, this content will first feature on PC before making its way to console.
