Star Trek Online: Geordi LaForge’s special episode available this week

Star Trek: The Next Generation‘s LeVar Burton will reprise his role as Geordi LaForge inside Star Trek: Online this week.

The episode, “Beyond the Nexus” will be available inside the PC version of the game from 21 September. It was originally planned for 12 September.

“During this mission, players will fight shoulder-to-shoulder with Starfleet Captain Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton) to aid in rescuing the crew of a Galaxy-class ship under attack, Perfect World detailed.

“Beginning September 21, captains will also be able to purchase a brand-new Galaxy-class interior. Star Trek: Online is also celebrating TNG’s anniversary with server-wide giveaways on September 28, which include the classic skant uniform and Type 7 shuttle.”

This is the first of two episodes that will feature Captain La Forge — “Beyond the Nexus” is a celebration of The Next Generation‘s 30th anniversary. The second episode, “Emergence”, will kick off the game’s 14th season on 3 October.

Star Trek: Online is available on Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One and PS4. The content will feature on PC first; console availability will follow.
