Star Trek Online adds the USS Discovery, USS Shenzhou

Star Trek Online Captains now have the chance to command Starfleet and Klingon ships from Star Trek Discovery.

Discoverys USS Discovery (above) is a Crossfield-class ship, and comes complete with the Black Alert starship trait. With it, the Crossfield will use its onboard spore drive to duplicate itself and have those temporally-displaced ships target an opponent. The ship also comes with the Mycelium Ambush console, which activates, moves the ship to a new destination and then discharges energy that buffs your weapons and disrupts opponents’ shields.

The Klingon Sarcophagus is identical to T’Kuvma’s ship (below), complete with multi-target tractor arrays and the Honored Dead trait, which adds to your defense as you suffer crew casualties. Yuck.

Finally, the Starfleet Walker-class can be purchased with Lobi Crystals in the Lobi Store, giving players access to the same class of ship as Captain Georgiou’s USS Shenzhou (below).

Want to see the ships in action? Easy.

The ships are live on PC and should head to console soon, as is the same with Star Trek Online‘s 8th anniversary celebrations. The title is available on Windows PC, Mac, Xbox One and PS4.
