Star Trek Lower Decks will air on Crave, Sci-Fi Channel in Canada

Star Trek Lower Decks will air on Crave and the Sci-Fi Channel in Canada just like Star Trek Discovery and Star Trek Picard before it, broadcaster CTV has confirmed.

Announced today during [CTV Homefront]: CTV Sci-Fi Channel will be the home to the all-new animated series [Star Trek Lower Decks]!” a tweet from Sci-Fi Channel reads.

This means Canadians can watch episodes of the 30-minute animated series traditionally via the Sci-Fi Channel or on demand using Crave.

The series is set after the events of Star Trek Nemesis — so the furthest in the timeline shared by The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager (not counting Picard, that is) — and will follow junior officers of the U.S.S. Cerritos.

There’s no word on distribution plans for Lower Decks outside the US and Canada at present; those in the USA can watch the show via CBS All Access.
