Star Trek Discovery season two starts 17 January 2019

Star Trek Discovery season two will kick off on 17 January 2019, CBS confirmed at New York Comic Con.

A new trailer for season two debuted at the convention, with the season’s start date detailed at its end. The trailer can be viewed below.

Star Trek: Discovery will follows the crew of the Discovery as they partner with the fabled U.S.S. Enterprise. It’s not Captain Kirk and crew though — the Enterprise is captained by Christopher Pike at this point in the Star Trek timeline.

As we’ve previously reported, Pike is played by Anson Mount and will he joined by Ethan Peck as Spock and Rebecca Romijn as Number One.

Star Trek: Discovery airs on Netflix here in Australia — and that means, sadly, we’re unable to access Star Trek: Short Treks at the present time. We’ll let you know when you can access the content as soon as it’s confirmed.
