Star Trek Day 2025: LEGO, a Khan podcast, and a toddlers’ webseries

Make it so.

Star Trek Day 2025 is upon us, and has brought treats for young and old. No, really. Very young, and very old.

Let’s unpack it all.

Star Trek Scouts webseries

First, a new webseries aimed at toddlers called Star Trek Scouts has debuted on YouTube.

Paramount calls Scouts “a brand-new, original animated YouTube-first series that marks the first preschool extension of the Star Trek franchise”.

You can watch the first episode of the series above, and catch another on Nickelodeon’s Blaze and the Monster Machines YouTube channel. 18 more episodes will be released throughout the year, with each running approximately 3-4 minutes long.

Star Trek Khan podcast (or audiobook, really)

The first episode of Star Trek Khan was also released to podcast feeds, and tells the story of what happened to Khan Noonien Singh after he was left on Ceti Alpha V by Captain James T. Kirk.

You’ll be able to find Khan on your podcast player of choice, and can even watch — erm, listen — via YouTube, below. New episodes will drop weekly on Tuesdays here in Australia.

Khan stars Lost‘s Naveen Andrews as Khan, For All Mankind‘s Wrenn Schmidt as Marla McGivers, George Takei as Trek‘s legendary Captain Hikaru Sulu, and Star Trek Voyager‘s Tim Russ reprising his role as Tuvok.

Star Trek The Next Generation LEGO

Finally, Paramount and LEGO have teased a new collaboration that will seemingly amount to (AT LEAST) a Next Generation playset and mini-figures.

The teaser, above, shows a LEGOed Captain Jean-Luc Picard in an Enterprise-D transporter room.

“Set phasers to build,” reads accompanying text. “Coming soon!”

That’s it for this Star Trek Day — what has you excited, fellow Trekkies?
