Star Fox Wii U announced with other small, Miyamoto-led Nintendo projects

As part of ongoing announcements at E3, Nintendo confirmed that Star Fox Wii U will head to the console in 2015 alongside two other Shigeru Miyamoto-led projects.

Also confirmed were Project Giant Robot and Project Guard.

Star Fox was briefly seen during Nintendo’s E3 Direct, where Miyamoto was playing at the end of the presentation. Players will use the Wii U GamePad to control their Arwing fights in a cockpit view. The fighter will also be able to morph into a helicopter of Lylat Wars Landmaster tank on command.

Project Giant Robot will let gamers create their own custom robots and battle against others. Cockpit control using the GamePad will also be a feature.

Project Guard will have players defend Earth from an impending robot invasion.
