Stan subscriptions will increase from November

Despite advising that customers will pay more, Stan touts itself as ad-free.

Stan subscriptions will increase from November, the streaming service has recently advised.

An email from Stan to subscribers made them aware of the increase, and at the same time promised “to bring you the biggest line-up of entertainment with no ads”. That specific reference to ads could be directed at competitor Prime Video amidst reports it will increase the amount of ads it’ll serve to lower-tier subscribers.

At any rate, here’s what you’ll soon be paying from 1 November as a Stan subscriber:

  • Stan Basic: from $10 AUD to $12 AUD per month
  • Stan Standard: From $16 AUD to $17 AUD per month
  • Stan Premium: From $21 AUD to $22 AUD per month

From the above, only Stan Premium offers 4K streaming.

If you’re new to Stan, you’ll find the prices listed above are already in place.
