Stadia pre-orders might be delivered up to two weeks after launch

Google has confirmed with The Verge that Stadia pre-orders of both its Founder’s and Premiere Editions are not guaranteed for the device’s launch on 19 November.

Instead, Google has confirmed that pre-orders will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis, though all pre-orders should be shipped and received no more than two weeks after the platform’s launch.

The Stadia Founder’s Edition was priced at $130 USD and sold out relatively quickly. It offered a special dark blue Stadia controller, a Founder’s badge for your account, the ability to gift a three-month pass to a friend and the ability to secure your unique Stadia username. The Premiere Edition is also priced at $130 USD and offered a Clearly White Stadia controller alongside Destiny 2 and three free months of the Stadia Pro subscription.

Regardless, Google’s new clarification seems to contradict marketing which informs players they’ll be able to play from 19 November.

Then again, this is all rather moot in Australia — we’re not a Stadia launch region anyway.
