Spotify pricing rises by up to $2 AUD in Australia

Are you starting to feel the pinch?

Spotify has raised the pricing of each of its plans, and that means hikes of up to $2 AUD here in Australia.

The music streaming service has today notified customers of the following price increases:

  • Single plans: $1 AUD/month increase to $12.99 AUD
  • Duo plans: $2 AUD/month increase to $17.99 AUD
  • Family plans: $2 AUD/month increase to $20.99 AUD

“We’re increasing the price of [your plan] so that we can continue to invest in and innovate on our product offerings and features, and bring you the best experience,” Spotify said in an email to customers.

Spotify’s increase follows that of competitors Apple, Amazon and Tidal. It also follows similar moves from streamers in other media, including Netflix.
