Sonic Superstars coming 2023, embraces its roots

Time for a classic?

Sonic Superstars was today announced at Summer Game Fest, and is planned for a 2023 release.

“Sonic and friends are back with an all-new look,” Sega said alongside a trailer, which is below.

“Join Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose on an adventure that takes ‘classic’ to another level,” Sega continued. “Team up with friends, master new powers from the Chaos Emeralds, and speed through all brand-new zones on your way to take down Dr. Eggman (and co)!”

That’s not the only “classic” element to the title — original designer Naoto Ohshima will also return for this outing.

You can check the title out in action below.

Expect Sonic Superstars in 2023 on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
