Sledgehammer’s next Call of Duty is its “biggest game-making project to date”

Sledgehammer Games’ next Call of Duty is the studio’s “biggest game-making project to date”, the developer has advised.

“This year, we will release our biggest game-making project to date,” a statement on Sledgehammer’s blog reads.

“We are extremely excited to reveal it to the world and to you, our HammerHeads. With an incredible team of talented developers and hard-working innovators, all that’s left in the equation is a workspace that matches the level of excellence that Hammers strive towards.”

Sledgehammer has yet to reveal specifics of the project, though rumours suggest that it will be titledCall of Duty: WWII and will be set, naturally, during World War II.

Back in February, Activision COO Thomas Tippl said Call of Duty would be heading “back to its roots.”

We’ll have more on Sledgehammer’s newest project as it’s made available.
