Sledgehammer Games Melbourne “building amazing content,” says studio head

Yay for our locals.

Sledgehammer Games Melbourne is “building amazing content” according to Studio Head Aaron Halon.

Stevivor recently had the chance to talk about the local dev team as part of a larger Call of Duty Vanguard preview.

While the work on Vanguard is largely collaborative between Sledgehammer’s three studios in Melbourne, California and Toronto, Halon took time to praise the work of its Aussies.

“The foundation of Melbourne, for example, was an engineering team but they have grown dramatically recently,” he said.

“Melbourne has been helping us on campaign and we’ve built out level teams that have been building amazing content that we’re really proud of, as well as supporting core tech and a whole lot of various departments across the whole game.”

Sledgehammer Games established its Melbourne office back in 2019.

Call of Duty Vanguard heads to Windows PC, Xbox and PlayStation from 5 November 2021.
