Skyward Sword HD locks fast travel behind an amiibo paywall

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD will lock fast travel behind a new amiibo, Nintendo has recently revealed.

The new Zelda & Loftwing amiibo will not only add the Loftwing to the game, but enable it with powers to instantly transition to the sky — even in the middle of a dungeon.

Tapping the amiibo in the sky will return you back to your first location.

The amiibo, featured above and below, is priced at $34.95 AUD.

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD heads to Switch on 16 July. The title was first released on the Wii back in 2011, later made available on Wii U from 2016.
