Skate offers in-game currency as thanks (or an apology) to players

Full Circle acknowledges "softlock and progression issues" that still impact some players.

Skate developer Full Circle has provided players with two types of in-game currency as either a thanks for playing, or an apology for “softlock and progression issues” that are impacting some.

First, the gifts come in the form of 2000 Tix and 500 San Van Bucks (SVBs) for players to use “as [they] wish”. The Tix have to be used, though, inside the game’s Season 1 pass, while the SVBs can be used to purchase cosmetics. The SVBs provided cover half the cost of the game’s next season pass, priced at 1000 SVBs.

Full Circle also detailed changes to Tix, acknowledging that some players are “overflowing” with the currency.

“If you purchased Tix with SVB, any leftover Tix you purchased will roll over at the end of the season,” the developer stated. “If you didn’t purchase Tix with SVB, you’ll get a portion of those rolled over to the next season. That being said, use your Tix in the skate.Pass to avoid losing some when the season rolls over. Let us know how this feels through Early Access and we’ll continue to improve the way we roll over Tix from season to season.”

Full Circle also detailed “softlock and progression issues,” saying “we know some players are still affected.” It continued to state that the issues “are top priority” but that “long-term fixes to make sure future content (and players) won’t be impacted by the same issues” haven’t been developed as yet.

Skate is currently in a free-to-play early access release on Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PS4, and PS5. We previewed it back in August.
