Silent Hill titles now backwards compatible on Xbox One

Both Silent Hill HD Collection and Silent Hill Homecoming are now backwards compatible on Xbox One.

After Konami’s shuttering of Hideo Kojima’s epic Silent Hills project, this is probably the closest fans will get to a new Silent Hill title in quite a long time.

Silent Hill HD Collection includes the series’ second and third games — admittedly in a poor up-res from incomplete code — while Silent Hill: Homecoming was first released to Windows PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2008.

If you own a digital copy of either game, you’ll find the backwards compatible 360 title on your Xbox One under My Games & Apps. If you own a physical copy of either or both games, simply insert the discs (one at a time, mind you) into your Xbox One to begin the download process.

Are you excited to dive back into the world of Silent Hill?
