Silent Hill 1 Remake coming from Konami, Bloober Team

... which makes it even weirder that they started with Silent Hill 2.

Hot off the heels of the success of the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Konami and Bloober Team have confirmed they’re working on its, erm, prequel: Silent Hill 1 Remake.

During its Summer Game Fest livestream last night, Konami confirmed that Silent Hill is in “development”. No further information was provided.

“Bloober Team may have disappointed some with the likes of Layers of Fear 2 or even The Mediumbut it has certainly succeeded with Silent Hill 2,” I wrote in my review. It’s close enough to the source material for fans, yet modern enough for those who have not played it before. It’s a great way to honour the 2001 original.”

Bloober Team is also hard at work on another title called Cronos The New Dawn, which is planned for release later this year.

We’ll have more on the Silent Hill 1 Remake for you as it becomes available.
