Shinji Mikami would like to see The Evil Within 2 on Nintendo Switch

Shinji Mikami, creator of The Evil Within 2, has said he’d like to see the game ported to the Nintendo Switch.

Speaking with Gamespot, Mikami, who was also instrumental in the Resident Evil franchise, said a Switch version of his latest game would be “interesting”.

“I think a Switch version would be interesting,” Mikami said. “I’d like to try it if I had the chance. First I’d like to buy a Switch myself, I had to borrow Zelda with the Switch from another staff member to play it.”

While The Evil Within 2 has not been confirmed on Nintendo Switch, it’s certainly not out of the question — Bethesda has recently confirmed ports of DOOM and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus on Nintendo’s newest console. The titles join the already-confirmed The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

The Evil Within 2 heads to Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 on Friday, 13 October. We recently previewed the title here.
