Shenmue 1 & 2 head to PS4, Xbox One in August

Shenmue 1 and 2 will be available in August on Xbox One and PS4, Sega has today confirmed.

The titles are available to pre-order now — bonuses include a double-sided poster and  reversible cover art.

“Since their original releases, Shenmue I & II have established a passionate following and are revered as one of gaming’s greatest series of all time,” Sega said in a press release. “These revolutionary masterpieces deliver a gripping story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father’s death and attempts to unravel the secrets behind a mysterious artefact known as the Dragon Mirror.”

The games have been modernised, allowing for a choice of original or modern control schemes, English or Japanese voiceovers and an updated UI.

Shenmue 1 and 2 will be available from 21 August on Xbox One and PS4.
