Shaq Fu free to Switch owners who’ve purchased NBA Playgrounds

Nintendo Switch owners who purchase NBA Playgrounds before its online play is added will receive Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn upon its re-release, developer Saber Interactive confirmed.

“We had every intention of launching online play for NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch within days of release,” Saber CEO Matthew Karch said. “But, despite our best efforts, it didn’t play out that way. We sincerely apologize for the delay and want to let everyone know the fix will be coming very soon.”

Shaq Fu is an extension of this apology.

The game’s Challenge Mode has already been added to its Windows PC, Xbox One and PS4 versions. Moreover, an update has already been released to Windows PC and PS4, tweaking shooting and adding 15 new players, including Shaq. The update is expected “within days” on Xbox One and Switch.
