Sequels to Layton, Fantasy Life are heading to smartphones

Two of Level-5’s franchises are seemingly making  the jump from 3DS to mobile devices.

The developer confirmed that sequels to Fantasy Life and Professor Layton are heading to smartphones at an event in Japan yesterday.

While Fantasy Life 2: Two Moons and the Village of God looks quite a bit like the game that came before it, Layton 7 will take a departure from previous title… in that it appears to be a card game, seen above.

Layton 7 was originally announced back in 2013 and was slated for 3DS and mobile, meaning we may still see it on Nintendo’s handheld.
