Sega’s making new Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe and more

Whaaat?

At the Game Awards 2023, Sega announced that it is making new games set in the Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe franchises… and more!

The full list of franchises detailed by Sega are as follows:

  • Jet Set Radio
  • Shinobi
  • Golden Axe
  • Streets of Rage
  • Crazy Taxi

That’s literally all we know at this point. A trailer showed off the briefest of glimpses at the new titles. Blink and you’ll miss ’em.

Sega’s calling its initiative “Next Level”, though a website detailing it is currently out of operation.

We’ll update you on the progress of all these new Sega games as we learn more; be warned, though — Game Awards host Geoff Keighley said we can expect the titles over the coming years, so you may have to wait a while.

In the meantime, what do you think of Sega’s initiative? Sound off in the comments area, below.
