Second Extinction early access will be offered in September instead of a planned beta, developer Systemic Reaction has advised.
“The realization that this approach suits the community-driven nature of our game was a little late-in-the-day, but we are excited about how it will make Second Extinction the best possible experience,” the developer advised in an update to those who’d registered for betas.
“Early Access means that the original plan for a summer beta is now out the window – it would simply get in the way of our efforts to get to Early Access in the fall.”
Those who’ve signed up for beta access will be offered two skins as a way of an apology.
Second Extinction heads to early access in September and is planned for a release on Windows PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X.
