Scott Pilgrim vs The World video game re-release looking more likely

A Scott Pilgrim vs The World game re-release is once again making the news, this time with updates from film director Edgar Wright alongside Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley.

“Ubisoft has reached out to me,” read a tweet from O’Malley published just yesterday, days after a scathing tweet that attacked publisher Ubisoft for a lack of transparency.

“Also for years now i’ve been talking to [iam8bit] about what a cool physical edition we could do if this game ever got a rerelease. Jon at [iam8bit] & Charlie at [Oni Press]  have been doing legwork trying to make it happen for 4+ years and still silence from [Ubisoft],” O’Malley wrote back on 12 August.

“We’re working on the video game situation,” reads another tweet from Edgar Wright.

News that a Scott Pilgrim vs The World game re-release would take place started up in May of this year, with Ubisoft teasing it could happen. The 10th year anniversary of the Xbox 360, PS3 beat ’em up is this year.
