Scammer selling illegal copies of Warcraft III, Farming Simulator, Darkest Dungeon and more via the Windows Store

Red Hook Studios today has brought an illegal Windows Store seller to light.

Balaji Chowdary is listed as the creator and vendor on games like Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, Farming Simulator 2015 and Red Hook’s own Darkest Dungeon on Windows 8.1’s Windows Store.

Chowdary’s illegal clones are offered for a substantially lower price — Darkest Dungeon was $3.99 USD compared to the game’s normal $19.99 USD price tag, but the game’s are suspiciously small as well, with your purchase unlocking a 2MB download.

Red Hook Studios is now working with Microsoft to address the infringements.

Buyer, beware.
