Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+: All the details Aussies need

Samsung has today confirmed the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, and we’ve all the details Australians are after.

Features

First, the S9 come with a 5.8″ Infinity Display with a resolution of 2960×1440 pixels, while the S9+ has a 6.2″ display with the same resolution. The S9 boasts 4GB of RAM, while the S9+ comes with 6GB. Both models run Android 8 on Octa-core processors (2.7 GHz Quad and 1.7 GHZ Quad).

Truthfully, the S9’s specs are similar to that of the S8; the S9 has a 3000mAh battery and S9+ has a 3500mAh battery — identical to the last iteration. In a step up, both S9 models possess dual rear-facing 12-megapixel cameras.

In terms of colours, Midnight Black will be available pretty much everywhere, while Lilac Purple and Coral Blue are exclusive to Samsung’s stores. All colours can be seen above.

Pre-orders for both phone models are open today, and the phones themselves should be available on 16 March. Pricing is below:

Pricing

  • Galaxy S9, 64GB: $1,199 AUD
  • Galaxy S9, 256GB: $1,329 AUD
  • Galaxy S9+, 64GB: $1,349 AUD
