Samba de Amigo heads to Switch and iOS at the end of the month

Time for a party?

Samba de Amigo will head to both Switch and iOS devices at the end of the month, Sega has recently confirmed.

Over on Switch, players can expect Samba de Amigo Party Central, while those on iOS can get ready for Samba de Amigo Party-to-Go. Both releases will be available from 29 August.

Just like in the 2000 Dreamcast original, Samba de Amigo tasks players to shake their maracas (in this case, represented by Joy-Cons in Party Central) at different angles, keeping with the beat of the music. Get a taste of what to expect below.

The Switch version features a soundtrack with 40 titles, including the likes of “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj; “Just Dance” by Lady Gaga; “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers, and more.

A version for the Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro is also in the works, and will mark Sega’s first full virtual reality title.

Which title are you most excited for, Samba de Amigo Party Central or Samba de Amigo Party-to-Go? Sound off in the comments area, below.
