Spawn cleared for an appearance in Mortal Kombat X

Hot on the heels of a report that the Predator will be featured in Mortal Kombat X as DLCSpawn creator Todd McFarlane has announced that he’s okayed the character for use in the game.

Though McFarland — who created the character as part of Image Comics’ launch — has okayed Spawn for use, NetherRealm hasn’t confirmed the character in-game. NetherRealm and McFarland have been in talks to include Spawn in previous MK games, to no avail.

Wouldn’t this have been cool back in the ’90’s, when Spawn was still popular?

Mortal Kombat X is scheduled to launch for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC on 14 April.
