Resident Evil Revelations 3 coming by 2022, says report

Dusk Golem says Capcom's been working on the sequel for the last four years.

Resident Evil Revelations 3 will be released before the end of 2022, a report from a Capcom insider alleges.

Insider Dusk Golem — someone with a decent track record when it comes to Capcom leaks — says the sequel has been in development for the last four or so years and is scheduled to be released within a year of Resident Evil Village. That title — a sequel itself, this time to Resident Evil 7 — is scheduled for a May 2021 release.

“It’s had a higher budget and a lot more dev time than either [Revelations] 1 or 2,” Dusk Golem said of Revelations 3. “For the record it’s been in dev for like 4 years & a budget closer to Village’s. I think they may not use the Rev name in part because of that. It’ll be more like a Code Veronica tier title than anything.”

The insider then went onto say that Revelations 3 would be a timed-exclusive on Nintendo Switch before heading to other platforms. Take of that what you will.

We’ll have more on Resident Evil Revelations 3 as news becomes available.
