Resident Evil 7 heading back to horror roots, to be shown at E3

Serkan Toto, a Japanese analyst, has taken to Twitter to allege that Resident Evil 7 is in development and will once again focus on survival horror.

What’s more, Toto says that the game will be shown at this year’s E3, and is being worked on by Jordan Amaro, formerly of Kojima Productions.

Time will tell if these rumours prove true — E3 is only a month away.

Capcom has recently said it plans to better utilise its IP, and that we should also prepare for a full-scale Resident Evil offensive.

Are you excited about the prospect of a horrific Resident Evil, or has the series’ turn to action left you cold?
