Pokémon Go: Will there be a special Legendary event this weekend?

Unconfirmed rumours of a special Pokémon Go this weekend are flying all around the internet.

Word has it that a special Legendary Pokémon will be available in major parks all around the world. Sydney’s Hyde Park and Melbourne’s Royal Botanic Gardens are examples of potential sites.

Pokémon Go developer Niantic has launched similar special events in its previous title, Ingress, and in the past have confirmed with VentureBeat that Pokémon Go could feature special live events alongside Pokémon trading.

We haven’t been able to confirm a special event this weekend, but we’ve asked Nintendo Australia for comment.
