Open-world Superman game allegedly in the works by Rocksteady

An open-world Superman game is allegedly in the works by Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady.

Before you get too excited, keep in mind that the rumour comes from an anonymous source who posted on 4chan — considering, it’s likely to take this one with a (very large) grain of salt.

According to the poster, the game will run in Unreal Engine 4 and will sport a Metropolis that’s “about 3 times the size of Arkham Knight.”

Moreover, the poster says that you won’t be able to play as Clark Kent, and Superman will spend the game battling villain Brainiac. The title is set in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham games and will also feature easter eggs toward the Batman franchise, the poster claims.

Again, we’re not very confident about the legitimacy of these claims, but a Superman game done by Rocksteady is something we’d gladly play. What about you?

We’ll keep you posted about a Rocksteady Superman game as we learn more.
