Nintendo Switch reported to have a 720p, 6.2 inch touchscreen

Eurogamer today cites sources who allege that the Nintendo Switch supports a 720p, 6.2 inch touchscreen.

A ten-point multi-touch display will enable touch controls similar to that on smartphones and tablets, the sources continue.

Moreover, the sources continue to allege that the console’s Joy-Con controller sports an IR, short-range sensor on its right side. This sensor can be pointed at a TV, while the Switch is docked, to emulate basic touchscreen functionality.

This all, of course, is rumour. We’ll find out more on the Switch from Nintendo itself — including release date and pricing details — in January 2017.
