Nintendo Switch: Melburnian My Nintendo members being sent hands-on invites for January

Update: Nintendo Australia has confirmed invitations are being sent.

“We are really excited to be able to invite selected My Nintendo members to an exclusive hands-on event in January,” a representative confirmed with Stevivor.

“Due to the nature of this hands-on event, there are strictly limited numbers that can attend. The next public event will be RTX Sydney in February, where Nintendo Switch will be playable. We are as excited about Nintendo Switch as you are, and hope you enjoy it when you get your hands on it when it launches in March 2017.”

Original story: Vooks yesterday reported that select Australian My Nintendo members are being sent invitations to hands-on Switch events following Nintendo’s mid-January livestream and Melbourne-based media event.

The invitations are for 15 January in Melbourne; it’s alleged that Melbourne-based members are being sent invitations.

Keep an eye on your inboxes!

We’ll have more on this as it becomes available — we’ve also asked Nintendo Australia for comment.
