Nintendo files patent for a controller that’s all touchscreen

Console maker Nintendo has recently filed a patent for a controller that has a full touchscreen across its face.

The design would allow for joysticks on the touchscreen face, but other front-facing buttons would simply be generated on the touchscreen itself.

Nintendo’s filing demonstrates the ways in which the potential controller could change to suit different games:

Is this a portion of Nintendo’s upcoming NX? No idea… but time will tell. We’ll keep you updated.
