Is a new Simpsons game being announced at E3?

Writers and producers of The Simpsons will be on hand at E3 2019, leading some to believe a new game announcement is on the way.

Said Simpsons staffers — though specific names have yet to be mentioned — will take to the stage as part of Geoff Keighley’s E3 Coliseum on 11 June. More details about the event will be provided soon, according to Coliseum organisers; we’ll update this post when that happens.

While The Simpsons has recently aired an Esports-focused episode in its current season, we’re hoping the Coliseum panel has more to do with a new video game instead. The Simpsons video game highlights include 2012’s The Simpsons: Tapped Out on mobile alongside the iconic 2003 racer, The Simpsons: Hit & Run.

Are you excited at the potential of a new Simpsons video game? If so, what would you like to see?
