New Nintendo patents support detachable controllers on the NX

New Nintendo patent applications, as discovered by NeoGAF, seem to support Nintendo NX detachable controllers and hand gestures.

The first application shows something akin to a controller being plugged into “an information processing device”, very similar to the setup detailed in a recent report.

Other applications focus on gesture-based input for the upcoming system, as detailed in the images below:

A previous application, filed in July 2015, seems to tie into the gesture application, requiring a user to hold a device with his or her left hand, and gesture with the right.

We’ll have more on the NX as it becomes available.
