Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle being developed by Ubisoft for Nintendo Switch

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will be announced for Nintendo Switch at this year’s E3, Kotaku today reports.

Kotaku says sources have sent assets, which they’ve asked not to be shared, which confirms the title. According to the source, the MarioRabbids crossover is being developed by Ubisoft on the company’s proprietary Snowdrop engine. The game itself is said to feature turn-based combat, two-player local co-op and harness the unique brand of humour that the Rabbids are known for.

It’s furthered that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will have eight playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach and Rabbids who are dressed as each of Nintendo’s main characters.

Neither Nintendo or Ubisoft have commented on the rumoured game.

Ubisoft has been enamoured with the Switch for quite some time; CEO Yves Guillemot said the Switch provides “a different experience from what exists today.”

E3 2017 takes place over 14-16 June at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California, USA. We expect to hear more of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle then.
