Konami is likely to shut down non-PES triple-A game development

A report by French site Gameblog, as translated by Eurogamer, suggests that Konami will stop development of all its triple-A titles with the exception of Pro Evolution Soccer and the upcoming Metal Gear Online.

The report alleges that Konami has no further plans to develop the Castlevania, Silent Hill or Metal Gear franchises. More damning it an additional report that Fox Engine lead Julien Merceron has left the company.

Konami seems to be shifting toward mobile development, and also has a strong ties in the gambling machine industry.
