Guardians of the Galaxy game coming from Eidos Montreal: report

And the rumours go as far back as 2017.

Guardians of the Galaxy game is coming from Eidos Montreal, a resurgence of rumours suggest.

Square Enix today confirmed that a new title from the Deus Ex studio will feature as part of the publisher’s E3 2021 livestream, and VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb says it will be GotG.

Way back in 2017, rumours suggested Eidos Montreal had been told to shelve the Deus Ex franchise to work on a Marvel title for Square Enix; at the same time, Crystal Dynamics began work on an Avengers title which has already been released. We’ve heard nothing from Eidos Montreal since then… so we’re willing to bet these rumours are legit.

We don’t have long to wait — Square Enix’s E3 2021 livestream is set for next week.

Would you be excited for a Guardians of the Galaxy game?
