Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered 2 skipping multiplayer

New rumours suggest that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will be released as a single-player title only.

The report comes from CharlieIntel, which suggests that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered developer Raven Software won’t be working on the sequel. Instead, Activision studio Beenox has allegedly been assigned the job. Beenox assisted Raven with Modern Warfare Remastered‘s campaign. Beenox also developed Call of Duty: Black Ops III for Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2015.

An additional piece by Eurogamer corroborated the original report.

The report comes as Amazon Italy posted listings for MW2R on both Xbox One and PS4. Both titles were priced at around $31 AUD, which might reflect a lack of multiplayer.

We’ll have more on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 2 as it’s made available. Are you excited about the remaster?
